Welcome to Millie Roy Therapy
Psychologist (MSc) | NIP registered
Whether you’re feeling anxious, stuck, overwhelmed, or you just don’t quite feel like yourself anymore, you don’t have to navigate it alone.
Hi, I’m Millie - a British Psychologist based in Utrecht.
I offer individual therapy in English, working with people experiencing anxiety, low mood, self-doubt, burnout and relationship difficulties, as well as those who simply want to understand themselves better, or feel less stuck in their lives.
I offer a supportive, non-judgemental space to talk openly, reflect and make sense of what might be feeling difficult – even if it’s hard to put your finger on exactly what that is yet.
Having moved from England to the Netherlands myself, I know that living abroad can bring its own challenges alongside everything else you might be dealing with. Feeling lonely, overwhelmed, out of place or a bit lost – I’ve been there, and I know it’s a lot to carry on your own.
My Approach
My approach is warm, collaborative and tailored to you. We’ll look beyond what you see on the surface – exploring why certain things affect you more deeply than others, where some of your patterns may have come from and whether the ways you’ve learnt to cope are still helping you now.
I use an integrative approach, drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and adapting how we work to your individual needs. There’s no need to know which approach might be right for you before we start. I can talk you through the different options and we’ll decide together what feels most helpful. Where relevant, we can also explore the relationship between your mental and physical wellbeing, including areas such as nutrition, sleep and exercise.
The aim is not only to understand yourself better, but to use that understanding to make meaningful changes in your life – helping you move forward with greater clarity, confidence and the tools to navigate whatever comes next.
